Team Kernock has worked hard to improve the Estate, cottages and guest experience. We have teamed up with Pooch and Mutt for quality dog treats, Buddy Care for dog shampoo and the installation of The Wominator for a sustainable solution to dog waste (along with our Poop Scoop gift for dog owners).

Maintenance Update
We have absolutely loved tackling some major projects across the estate
We used the fantastic weather from April to September for exterior decoration of cottages, between guests. Interior decoration is ongoing and we do small areas between guest visits. After removing 120 diseased Ash trees in Central Bark, we have recently planted 32 Cherry trees (thank you to Kernock Plants for their very kind donation). We look forward to Spring!
Faster Wifi Across the Estate
The installation of Starlink satellite communications system has increased wifi speeds across the estate. Many guests enjoy ‘switching off’ whilst on the Kernock Estate, but when services are needed for streaming or planning the next day’s adventures, guests will not be frustrated.

An Industry First from Kernock
Big news for sustainable tourism
By far our most significant innovation is our Pet Poo Wormery (The Worminator!), installed in Central Bark to keep dog waste and bags from landfill.
Even biodegradable poo bags can take years to break down and when dog waste decomposes in landfill it releases methane, a potent greenhouse gas that contributes to climate change. In our wormery the worms break down bacteria, neutralising harmful pathogens.
We encourage guests to use this facility and we have adjusted our dog welcome pack to include a Kernock branded poop scoop.

It’s official – bring your pre-loved favourite titles and swap them for your next reads.
Each cottage has a good selection of titles to choose from. Now you can start a book on holiday and, if you haven’t finished it, you can take it home with you.
Join our book club and share some of your favourite titles, adding them to the shelf for others to enjoy.
