Luxury, Tranquillity & Thoughtful Extras Included
Guests enjoy the peace and tranquillity of our beautiful grounds. Your self-catering cottage is on a private 22-acre estate in east Cornwall. It is one of just four cottages, with the owners being also resident on site. You will benefit from our ECO solar energy, biomass heating/hot water, and natural water from a borehole.
The cottage rental price (and £25 fee per dog) covers all utilities, linen (including luxury bathrobes, towels, Egyptian cotton bedlinen), a private hot tub under a gazebo, a fully-equipped kitchen, a welcome pack, a dog welcome pack and dog water bowl (if you bring a dog) , a baby pack (if you book to bring a baby) including the use of a Cuddledry hands-free bath towel during your stay, and a selection of TEMPLESPA toiletries in your bathrooms. All the cottages have wireless internet upgraded to Starlink in 2025.
On site you have full use of our 6-acre secure dog exercise area (Central Bark) and can enjoy the peace, tranquillity and wildlife of this beautiful estate.
We also provided corporate membership cards for discounted use of the nearby China Fleet Country Club during your stay. They have a swimming pool with a large slide, as well as a spa with, sauna, steam rooms, Jacuzzi, as well as a barn where you can get treatments; the membership gets you in and you only pay for the facilities you use. They also have an adventure/crazy golf area.
Chargeable Extras
Our EV and TESLA charging station is available for our guests and we operate an honesty charging policy, based on either readings provided by guests’ cars or based on battery size; no Apps are required. One car can charge at a time. We do not permit any EV-charging using domestic sockets/extension leads directly from cottages to cars.

Are dogs allowed at Kernock Cottages and is there a charge?
Dogs are very welcome at Kernock Cottages. There is a £25 fee per dog, which includes a dog welcome pack and water bowl. Guests also have full access to our 6-acre secure dog friendly exercise area, Central Bark.
Is parking available at the cottages?
Yes. Each cottage has convenient on-site parking available for guests during their stay.
Is a welcome pack included when we arrive?
Yes. Each cottage includes a welcome pack to help you settle in after your journey. This includes locally sourced Cornish coffee for the espresso machine and a few essentials to get you started.
Do I need to bring towels or bed linen?
No. Fresh Egyptian cotton bed linen and towels are provided for each guest, and beds are made up ready for your arrival. Please note that guests should bring their own towels for swimming or beach trips.
Do I need to bring kitchen essentials such as oil, salt or washing-up supplies?
No. The cottages are stocked with basic kitchen and cleaning essentials including washing-up liquid, dishwasher tablets, kitchen roll, salt, pepper, olive oil, and other useful items to help you settle in quickly.
Are baby items available if we’re travelling with an infant?
Yes. A baby pack can be provided on request when booking. This includes items such as a cot, highchair, and other baby essentials to make travelling with little ones easier.
